Before I can teach you anything about how to dress, apply makeup, or pick the perfect shoes and accessories to go with your vintage look, you must first ask yourself the pivotal question. Do I want to go modern or traditional vintage? For beginners I recommend starting with modern vintage clothing, for the mere fact that most of the time it’s more affordable, and a great way to find out what shapes best suit your body, which era you gravitate towards more, and what kinds of clothes you feel most comfortable in. Modern vintage is also more easily accessible, because traditional vintage clothing is usually handed down, or found in consignment shops or stores specializing in vintage clothing. One of the best online sites to find modern vintage clothing is www.modcloth.com, and finding traditional vintage clothing is easily found on www.etsy.com by searching for it.

Ingredients:

•          60ml Belvedere Vodka
•          15ml Egg white
•          15ml Lemon juice
•          Dash cinnamon bitters

Shake all ingredients without ice. Add ice and shake again. Strain over fresh cubed ice into a rocks glass.

We always look forward to Sonia Rykiel’s colourful and playful lookbooks. For spring/summer 2014, it’s soft pinks and blues combined with bright red, feminine floral prints and strikingly bold stripes.
